Day Zero Updates..

I started my puzzle.. 1000 pieces.. excuse the strange background, it was the only board I could find that was easy to carry around..

This is after a week.. the edges are done and then part of  the middle..
It's a jungle book puzzle..

And I bought the Wreck this Journal.. I started some of it, updates to come.

Short quick and easy blog. If I don't have a chance to update before Christmas.. Merry Christmas!

We had an early christmas..

and I didn't like it. at all.....

Just didn't feel the same. Sure we got to spend extra time together without having to rush to my aunt's house. But that is fun to do for Christmas, get together around 11am -- eat brunch -- open gifts -- rush to my aunt's house. Also everything was opened, so it wasn't Christmas, since my sister and her boyfriend who live in the boonies of IL decided they wanted to leave early to go to Ikea. and we did this early for them, so that was kinda crummy. Also --  this year my Aunt decided to push back Christmas at her house by an hour, so we probably wouldn't of been so rushed like past years.. and honestly, no one is ever on time for that.

Now I really don't have much to look forward to other than going to my aunt's house? and Scott's uncle's house which are both parts of Christmas I don't like. aka, sitting in a tiny house with tons of people. Fun right?

Well at least I get to sleep in.

I hope we don't do it again, maybe it's because we don't have kids, and don't live two hours away that makes it so hard to change it. But it's not going to be really Christmas this year since it's done and now the awful parts are left.

Maybe I should just deal with the fact that my family does end up getting pushed to the side with my sister boyfriends family, and then my brothers in-laws. (especially my brother in-laws family) But it hard since they always end up doing tons more with those families and not mine, and my mom let's it happen. Scott and I try really hard to make sure both sides get equal attention, which is hard but we manage to do it. It's just the fact that some don't want to see that way I guess.

Okay, my sappy blog is done. If you read this thanks?

Christmas Music

As Christmas is getting closer Christmas songs are becoming a lot happier for me. When I hear them before thanksgiving I get annoyed because thanksgiving is usually pushed to the side and it's too early to play those songs.
At work I'm listening to Pandora and I have many Christmas stations on there. The normal Christmas Station, which is probably my favorite, it has oldies and newbies in the Christmas music world.

A few of my favorites...
The She and Him Christmas Album.. I need to get this and put it on my iPod
Michael Buble any of his songs are great!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
There's an Indie Holidays Radio which is good, but some of the bands on there do get annoying. I love Weezer and all, but having them sing Christmas songs.. not so good.
Barenaked Ladies Christmas Album is also good.
Any of the oldies..

16 more days of songs.. then that can be kinda over.. they can surpass the Christmas day and go into new years.

Christmas.. urgh

Well it's that time of year... Christmas. I hate Christmas, or as my Dad told me, I hate the preparations for Christmas. Yeah that too, but those are the biggest part of Christmas right?

I hate black Friday, while Scott (the hubby)  loves it, he just likes getting a great deal. I get that, but to deal with people, tons of people who all act like assholes pushing and shoving to get a great deal.. is it really worth it?

I went with Scott to Walmart on Thanksgiving at 10pm to get an Xbox combo pack. Which when we went he didn't tell me what we were going for, but whatever I went with.

Let's see.. Parking.. well that was interesting. While waiting to get to the parking lot we got to witness a bunch of police running through the street to  catch someone in an alley. I don't think they actually did, they left really fast. Then we drove around the parking lot to find a spot.. found one, and as we were waiting for a car to leave we saw another car drive up.. Which of course when the car was leaving that car tried to steal our spot. Honestly, you see a car already waiting, why even bother..

Then we walked.. and walked to Walmart. I had on fancy boots so that was awful..

And the store, well you see the above picture that I found on google images.. yeah pretty much sums it up. Awful.

I have to say about people shopping on Black Friday, if your buying more than 2 Coffee Makers or 2 of anything, we know your trying to sell them somewhere else. No one needs to give out more than 2.. and if you really do.. you better hope that they don't all open it all at once or at the same place. That would suck.

Going to Walmart on Black Friday.. Bad idea..

Next year: Online Shopping. Which we generally do.

Moved.

So we moved over the holiday weekend. Which when thinking about moving you don't think so much about it, until you get started then you think to yourself a few things:

1. Who's bright idea was it to move? (in this case I guess it was mine)
2.  Where did all this crap come from
3. When does the stuff just magically get there..

I almost just said forget it, but Scott was just starting to take apart our bed. Good news is that we are done moving the big things, just have a few smaller things to move and move back to my parents house the things we don't need for right now.

So far so good living at my mother-in-laws. It's good to be married and have your own space. I loved living with my parents and will miss the food (which I'll probably be there a few times a week to do my walks, take care of my cat and eat the food) but have different spaces we can go in is going to be good.

One thing I have learned about my mother in law so far... she's always on the phone.

Well.. Moving Stinks

We're moving.. well to my mother in law's house. Which has more space for us than my parent's house, where we are right now. Actually it's a whole basement. So we have everything except for a kitchen sink and a oven. But those are upstairs..

What a fun weekend we had...

Friday we decided we wanted to get the head board for our bed we bought a few months ago. Well that meant a trip to Ikea.. and going to Ikea for us means buying more than what we planned on.. We found a lot of gifts for people for Christmas. Which was perfect. Then it was to find the headboard in their nifty find your furniture area. When we found it, well it wasn't going to fit in Scott's car.. so that meant we needed to come soon with a larger car..

My lovely rug..
On to Saturday, let's get the headboard and go.. well I wanted to get a rug since the floor in the basement has a few stains, and I like pretty things. So BAM! we have a rug, headboard, and a few pillows.. I love pillows. When all of this gets put together I'll set it up.

Then Saturday was moving everything around in the house. The downstairs bedroom had a lot of crap from his cousin, who is storing her stuff there. So we okay, they moved  and by they I mean Scott, his sister Kristie, and her Fiancee Chris moved a lot of it. Up and down the stairs and even had to go to their house to put some of the cousins things there.  They even managed to shove a twin bed into a small closet. I spent a lot of time cleaning, vacuuming and just being supportive of their moving abilities.  Scott also managed to patch up a lot of the holes in the walls and repaint some of of the area.

But boy were we tired from everything. My body ached a lot, I could only imagine how everyone else felt afterward. My body is still sore.

We are planning on going back to ikea to get a small dresser draw thing. Since our awesome bed has drawers under it we need somewhere to put our underthings. Who knows what else I'll find, that I didn't the first two times. Oh, I'm going to return something too.. since I already have one.. oops!

The plan.. to be out this weekend. While the crazies are out shopping, we will be moving stuff in. Scott is painting one of the rooms.. it was pink.. I hate pink.. sorry. and we have his TV wall mount up already. This is going to be an exciting new chapter of our life.

Oh, I bought a Christmas tree too.. so excited to have room to put that up..but that's another story.

Weddings Over..

About a month before the wedding I was ready to have it over and done with. Everything that you have to deal with from seating people to the moans and whines about things you planned. I wanted it over with.

Well it's over now. Nothing more to plan.  Am I happy? Yes, I never want to do that again. If anyone asked me for a word of advice about the whole wedding planning I would tell them that no matter how much you plan, you will always have unhappy people and people who don't listen to your wishes. Oh yeah, it's really not your day. It's everyone else's day to do what they want and get away with it. But they'll say it was your day so you can smile. Yes, smile.

I did have an amazing day, great weather, everything worked out great. Here and there were bad things, but over all it was awesome.

I do have to say one thing about wedding planning is that afterwards, you don't have anything to do really. So I took up scrapbooking and trying to find easy crafts to occupy me for now. Yes, I need a new job, with more hours, that is on my list of things to do. Also I need to blog more, again my list of things to do. But I had to fill that void so I started my honeymoon scrapbook. Also, started another blog with my sister, all about crafting! One post so far, actually I have to beg her to post something this week. So check it out: Crafty Sisters Blog

Pinky up my friends!

Oil Changes..

I went today to get an oil change. Yes. All 5'1/2 feet and 97 pounds of me went at 8am to get an oil change. I never went before, mostly because being tiny, and a girl means that well.. they are going to try to sell me something.
I walk in tell them I need an oil change. They tell me to sit down. I'm all happy that was all they did. Then it happened. The big fixer dude comes up to me and says are you the one with the Pontiac? I said yes. Then he told me to follow him. Oh great.
So he takes me to the car, which is up high. and tells me he wants to show me something. Yeah like I'm going to know what you are showing me.
He shows me the tires. How the car needs new ones. Really? There's no huge holes in them or nails sticking out, but I was like well, I need to see ask the owner of the car about it. Is it really bad? and of course he said yes.
He sends me on my way. So if the tires are so bad, wouldn't he HIGHLY recommend getting it done? AKA not let me leave that the tires are going to blow up bad? Really bad sales skills there. and I'm usually a sucker.

25 more days.

Whoever said that wedding planning is fun, well they are just crazy.
There's so much to do, and well 25 more days to do it. But when I get home from work  and I should probably do something, I just don't want to do it. It's almost as if planning a wedding over a year in advance is too much.

We have about 10 more RSVP's to get. The deadline was last week Friday. One month before the wedding, you would think people would be glad to plan that far in advance, but I guess not. I read on one of those wedding message boards that getting RSVP's back is like the sock fairy, you never know when you are going to get them.

Then the table's people will sit at. Oh god, that already has been awful.

Get the favors together whenever the candy gets here.

so much more and I think my mind is just fried from doing it all. I think after we get back, I'm going to take a class or do something for fun. Honestly I can't wait for it all to be over. Is that sad?

I hate driving. Just a fact. One reason people don't care about anyone but themselves.

I enjoy seeing people turn right in front of me, when there is no one behind me. I can see turning fast in front of someone who is about 100 cars lengths behind someone in front of them, but when there is no one behind me and I have little time to hit the breaks. Yeah, almost like these people are saying, well you'll have to pay because guess what, they will say you hit me. Not that I failed to properly stop at the stop sign or to just wait at the corner for a few seconds. No go ahead and hit me, oh you have bad breaks? Even better for me.

Ever get stuck behind the person who will stop at EVERY light? Even when it's green? Love those people.  Really you won't get in trouble if you just drive through the intersection when that little light is green. Guess your trying the whole stop and try to start an accident too.

Wednesday are always a bad day to drive, since older people have better deals, so they are all out. Driving Slowly.

I'm not just talking about cars here either. Motorcycles suck to. I love the signs that say to start seeing motorcycles. So I have to watch out for someone who is using the road, driving around traffic as if they don't have to follow the lines, AND don't wear a helmet.  Yes, see I have to wear a seat belt  otherwise I get a ticket, but you can just drive an OPEN motorcycle with no helmet, get hit and then some person who was driving a car hits you, and they have to pay for your head injury. Makes sense to me. Also, when there's a 'pack' of motorcycles at a stop sign, they all stop and go at the same time. Really? Cars can't do that. So how is this right? I call Car racism.

Okay that's my car vent. Crazy right

Teeth teeth and less teeth

Oh wisdom teeth how I will not miss you.
Had them out on Friday, didn't go so bad. I didn't freak out too much, other than being really nervous. (Okay, I took the air masky thingy off right away, but then I calmed down)
When I came too i first remember hearing talking, then I passed back out. Then they took off all the stuff, blood pressure  heart thing, I passed out again. Then I woke up to the nurse pulling me out of the chair and we went slowly into the recovery room, which in my odd state I picked up a magazine and stared at it. I couldn't read it at all. My mom thought that I was reading it, but no, I just decided to pick it up and read it.
I'm not eating big foods yet, just soft stuff. Life is slowly going back to normal.
One thing I hate is the string from the stitches, when I eat noodles, I find them and ewee. grosses me out.

The Annoying Co-Worker

So I have a coworker who loves to stand behind me and watch everything I do...
If he asks if I got an email, and I reload to see, he stands there. Really? Why do you need to look at my email?

Projects that I have to do, he'll stand there to see what I'm doing. It's not done yet, therefore what you are looking at is not the complete outcome.

Also, he takes projects and things off my desk when I'm not there. Or he'll do the old sneak in and grab where I can't say anything. Does this all the time when I'm on the phone. It's fun really.

Sometimes I wish there were retractable spikes in my desk chair so if they are too close, I can back up and BAM! your too close to my bubble.

Or have an alarm when someone other than me touches things on my desk.

Oh the joys of working. I miss school.

Computer Blahs

I am tired of computers.
Yes I said it. Tired. Of. Computers.

Sitting at a computer for 8 hours a day at work is making me sick and tired of them. I go home and I don't even want to check Facebook or twitter. I come home and watch TV or read a book.

Sure the book is on a nook, and I can easily just go online with it. But the computer I ignore. and it's right next to my bed at night.

Even when I get to work, I look at the computer and just think to myself, yup another 8 hours with you. I need a hobby or something, because computers have consumed so much of my life that I don't know what to do with myself when the TV goes out, there's nothing on, or I just don't want to read.

Oohh.. Food..
It's really computer burn-out. Which is good in one way, maybe I'll get a life or something. Maybe I should learn how to cook. I did find a lot of great food blogs.

Annoyed

Annoyed.

Work sucks. I hate sitting here all day as everyone around her acts as if they are the shit and can pass up on a phone call b/c the boss does. So I get stuck writing messages.. lots of messages. Also I have to work 9-5 everyone else comes and goes and they please. Sure it's fine for the higher ups. But people my level who are supposed to work 10-5 come and go as they please. Do they get in trouble? no.

I've had a bad attitude here, and I need to figure out how to get ride of it.

I have another cyst. Which is so great. I hate getting them. I hate doing all the home stuff to them, b/c if they don't hurt the doctor won't do anything to them. and there's no drugs I can take to make it go away. Just wait on it. Yet another cyst.

I'm just annoyed, stressed and need a vacation soon.

this is my bitching blog. sorry.

Millie

Sorry I haven't blogged at all this week. We lost our cat Millie last night, and with her being sick I didn't have a lot to say.

I didn't sleep well last night, and I'm hoping I'm not getting sick, but I feel like it's going to happen.

R.I.P. Millie. I hope that you are at peace and no longer in pain. Tabitha and Camper will take care of you now. Love you.

Millie and Tabitha. RIP to both..
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The Panini Press

My sister was over this weekend for our Niece's bday party and was looking over our registry..

On my registry I put a Panini Press.

The conversation was a little bit like this:

Her: Why Do you need a Panini Press?

Me: Cuz I want to make Panini's

Her: You probably don't know how to make them.

Me: That's b/c I don't have a Panini Press...

Which all boiled down to in November we are going to have a Panini party, if I get a Panini press..

So if we get one of these, I'll have to get recipes on good panini's.. good thing I follow a ton of blogs.. now off to find a blog that is all about the panini..

Music Video

Hanson - Give A Little..

Oh come on, it's a good song.

How are wisdom teeth wise?

Last month, my wisdom tooth was bothering me a lot that I decided to go to the dentist. It had been about 10+ years since I went.

Why? Because I'm a wuss with anything in a lab coat. I had a bad experience with a doctor who screamed "Oh My God" with a huge ear infection. Yup, an ear infection. So my parents stopped taking me, since I would freak out every time they would tell me it's time to go to..

So I had two cavities, (not to bad for not going for a long time) and was told the silly wisdom teeth should be removed. One came in, cracked and is now decaying. Awesome.

Did the whole cavities thing a few weeks ago, let's just say I freak myself out for nothing. Hell I'll say it now. Waited awhile to make the consultation appt. for the wisdomers.

Today was that consultation. The surgeon said to me "you are the proud owner of 4 wisdom teeth" .. gee thanks. Of course I was nervous going to this, and he knew it. Got the whole speech of how long he's been doing it and how good he is. I'm sure he is good, I still don't want to do it.

I didn't make the appt. for the procedure. I swear the girl at reception had no idea what she was doing and was no help. So I need to call. Next week.

So I looked up about why they are called wisdom teeth per good old wikipedia:

"They are generally thought to be called wisdom teeth because they appear so late – much later than the other teeth, at an age where people are presumably "wiser" than as a child, when the other teeth erupt.[22] The term probably came as a translation of the Latin dens sapientiae."

Thanks. I rather call them, pain in the ass teeth.

Sigh, I guess I won't be wise anymore.
